Santa Barbara & Goleta * August 2013

I knew I would like this place as soon as I saw the sign....
It's in Goleta, a few miles north of Santa Barbara...http://www.zodobowl.com/index.php

The Tap House in the bowling alley was good...we liked the pizza cooked in a wood burning oven.

San Luis Obispo, CA * August 2013

We parked the Airstream at the San Luis Obispo Elks Lodge for a night so we could check out the town and the Avila Beach area.  The Harford Pier at Port San Luis was built in 1873.  It looks old and smells old!

We walked to the end to check out the old fish companies and the restaurant/bar.  People were driving past us so I guess this dock is super sturdy!

This pier in San Luis Obispo Bay was hopping in the 1800's until the train arrived.

Sea Lions have ear flaps and smooth foreflippers.  Seals have ear holes and fuzzy foreflippers.

Eureka to Woodland, CA * August 2013

A lovely 5 hour drive from Eureka -- south on Highway 101, around Clearlake to Interstate 5.  We stocked up on some farm fresh produce, vegetables and pistachios at the Davis Farmers Market.   The delicious corn dogs from "The Hotdogger" are cooked on the spot.  I ate it too fast for a picture.  All farmers markets need a deep fat fryer on premises!

Incredible bounty from central California!
